Rev. Carl Harris is the grandson of Mattie Jones and the son of Emma Scales. He is originally a native of Wichita Falls, but moved away at an early age. He is married to Linda Kay and they have adult children. He accepted Christ at the early age of nine years old during a Vacation Bible School Session and answered a “Call” in the ministry August 1991.
After High School he attended and received a bachelor degree (B.B.A) from Tarleton, State University in Stephenville, TX and a Master’s degree (MA) in Christian Leadership from Criswell Biblical Institute in Dallas, TX. Currently pursuing Doctorate of Theology in Pastoral Theology from Andersonville Theological Seminary.
While in Dallas, Carl worked in Corporate America and pastored Grace Church-- a non-denomination multi-racial church from 1995 until 2002. He was licensed into the ministry by Grace Church in 1994 and ordained through a non-denominational association and most recently ordained through a Baptist Association.
After Relocating to Wichita Falls, TX, Carl united with Saint John Baptist Church and has served in a support role for the past 13 years. While in Wichita Falls, he has worked for Vernon College and as Area Director of Texas Special Olympics.
Carl received his Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) from Parkland Hospital Dallas, TX and is the first African American Chaplain at United Regional Hospital, Wichita Falls, TX. Currently pursing DM (Doctor of Ministry) from Andersonville Theological Seminary.

Pastor Artis Allen is the husband of Lovie Johnson-Allen (daughter of Thelma Johnson). They have 3 children: Marcell, Michele & Derrick.
